Here are some of the reasons I think learning lab safety and learning about the equip meant.  The first reason is that you need to know how to help someone if they get a poisonous chemical or if  they get burned by something hot, or if they get cut by something.  If you don’t know what the equipment does then you can do something wrong.  Another reason is if you mix chemicals and don’t know if they’re poisonous or not.
